JEROME L. GREENE SCIENCE CENTER

Client : Columbia University
SIZE: 557,149 SF

Columbia’s Manhattanville campus is designed to bring together a diversity of academic disciplines to address the great questions facing our society while welcoming the wider community to experience a shared space for civic life.
Manhattanville is informed by its historic New York City location, embracing the northern Manhattan street grid and the surrounding community—creating a campus enriched by West Harlem and interconnected with the cultural, artistic and economic life of adjoining neighborhoods.
The new Campus comprises three buildings, The Jerome L. Greene Science Center, The Lenfest Center for the Arts and The Forum and Academic Conference Center.

The Jerome L. Greene Science Center is one of the three buildings that define the southeastern quadrant of the new 17- acre Manhattanville campus. It is located immediately west of Broadway between 129th and 130th Streets. To its west stands the Manhattanville campus’s new Lenfest Center for the Arts (opening in spring 2017). To the south, at the triangular corner of 125th Street and Broadway, stands the University Forum (opening in 2018), which completes this initial ensemble of campus buildings.
